Enzo Micheletti was the son of Ivan Micheletti, the brother of the de facto leader.

Authorities on Monday rejected to relate Enzo’s death with the ongoing political crisis in the country, caused on June 28 when President Manuel Zelaya was ousted and the Congress appointed Micheletti as president.

Micheletti’s nephew was found in the Choloma municipality in the Cortes department (province) together with another dead male, who has not been identified yet.

Police spokesman Orlin Cerrato said that both bodies had been taken to the morgue of San Pedro Sula as John Does, but relatives identified Enzo early on Monday.

Twenty-five-year-old Enzo had two gunshot wounds, one in the face and the other in the chest, and his hands were tied behind his body. He was found in front of a factory, the police spokesman added.

According to the authorities, Enzo Micheletti was killed four or five days ago.

On Sunday, Colonel of the Armed Forces, Concepcion Jimenez, was killed when leaving his house in a district of Tegucigalpa.

Jimenez was manager of the Military Industry, a company in charge of making uniforms for the Honduran army.
