VietNamNet Bridge – The HCM City Export Processing and Industrial Zones Authority (Hepza) on September 22 announced the names of 26 companies in the city’s industrial and export processing zones that violated environmental laws from 2005 to 2008.

Drains discharging waste water to the Thi Vai River, Dong Nai Province.

According to Hepza, since 2005 it has issued 359 citations, but after paying fines, many companies continued to break environmental laws. Hepza said companies that repeat offences could have their investment certificates revoked.
