VietNamNet Bridge – The first laparoscopic surgery centre of Vietnam has been put into operation at the Hanoi-based Vietnam-Germany Hospital.

With 50 beds, the centre applies the most advanced laparoscopic surgery technology in the world.

The centre will collect research on laparoscopic techniques and laparoscopic-related technology as well as train laparoscopic surgeons for Vietnam.

Laparoscopic surgery is considered an important development in the field of health to diminish pain for patients.

Laparoscopic surgery was applied in Vietnam since 1992. So far, 26 hospitals in the country have been able to conduct laparoscopic surgery.
