Information and Foreign Relations Agency comes out; VinaPhone unveils email service for handphone; Secutech Vietnam 2008 opens in Hanoi

VinaPhone has introduced its push mail – EZmail service, which allows its subscribers to send and receive emails on their mobile phones.

Whenever a new email comes, it will be automatically pushed to customer’s mobile phone.

With each EZmail account, service users have up to 30Mb to store their mail, and up to 30 days for mail to be deleted.

Customers can use this service in two ways: paying GPRS charges and service fees of VND 500/day or not pay GPRS but only service fees of VND 2,000 per day.

Information and Foreign Relations Agency comes out

The Information and Foreign Relations Agency under the Ministry of Information and Communications was introduced this morning in Hanoi.

The new agency will act as assistant to the Minister of Information and Communications in the fields of external information.

The agency is designing the strategy on developing external information for 2010-2020 period, the regulations on organization and management of external information activities of ministries, agencies, locations, and organizations, implementing a project that provide information services in English to foreigners and overseas Vietnamese, and developing a website.

Secutech Vietnam 2008 opens in Hanoi

An exhibition on safety, security and fire-fighting technologies and equipment (Secutech Vietnam 2008) opened in Hanoi on Nov. 11.

The three-day Secutech Vietnam 2008 has drawn over 80 businesses from China, Hong Kong-China, Taiwan-China, Israel, the Republic of Korea, Japan, the US, the UK, Singapore and Vietnam.

Fifteen workshops will be held within the event’s framework, focusing on three main topics, namely the Global Digital Surveillance Forum (DGSF Vietnam), security systems for banking and financial establishments, and fire prevention and fighting.
