VietNamNet Bridge – Vietnam now has three of the six existing vaccine production facilities meeting the Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements set by the World Health Organisation (WHO).

Deputy Minister of Health Cao Minh Quang released the news at a meeting to review the UNICEF-financed activities conducted by the National Institute for Control of Vaccines and Bio-chemicals from 2006-2008.

According to the deputy minister, Vietnam is one of few member countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) whose vaccine factories have met standards of the WTO.
