VietNamNet Bridge – The Deputy Minister of Information and Communications, Le Nam Thang, and the Deputy Minister of Public Security, Nguyen Van Huong, signed a joint circular on ensuring information infrastructure and information security.

Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Le Nam Thang and Deputy Minister of Public Security Nguyen Van Huong signed the joint circular on December 5.

The new circular guides how to ensure information infrastructure and information security in postal, delivery, telecom, Internet, broadcasting and IT activities. The subjects to this circular are organizations and individuals who have a connection to setting networks, providing and using services, producing and trading equipment and building postal, telecom and IT works in Vietnam.

At the signing ceremony, Deputy Minister of Public Security, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Huong, emphasized the significance of ensuring information security and the necessity for cooperation between the Ministry of Information and Communications and the Ministry of Public Security in this field.

“Today, information spreads very quickly, so the crime in this area gets sophisticated and complicated. The two ministries have to realize this issue and implement the newly signed circular seriously,” Huong said.

Deputy Minister of Information and Communications, Le Nam Thang, said the two ministries would promptly cooperate at various levels to tighten the network security of the postal, telecom and IT sectors.
