VietNamNet Bridge – A thirteen year-old girl from the central highlands province of Lam Dong was released from the HCM City-based Children’s Hospital 1 after a six kilogram ovary protuberance was removed.

Doctors were cutting the 6kg turmor from the child’s ovary.

Doctors said this is the youngest patient who had the largest ovary tumor that they have ever seen so far.

According to the patient’s mother, the little girl complained to have a stomach ache for around two months. Her stomach also developed larger in size. The girl was brought to the Children’s Hospital 1 and detected to have a huge tumor on her ovary.

The operation was conducted on January 1 and the girl left hospital one week later in good health. Doctors said she can have children in the future.
