Temperatures in southern Vietnam will fall in the next two days, Le Thi Xuan Lan deputy head of the Southern Regional Hydro-meteorological Forecast Center’s Forecast Department recently said.

The center said strong winds had developed in south of East Sea two days ago and are building in strength.

The winds will pass over the central regional and create strong southwest winds, bringing rain and ending the hot spell.

From 24-25 April, the weather will be cooler and the rainy season is expected to start in earnest with thunderstorms, strong gusts and heavy rains.

The center also warned boats traveling on the rivers to keep track of the windy weather.

Temperatures in Ho Chi Minh City and southern provinces soared to 35-37 degrees Celsius over the last few days.

Meteorologists said it is unusual for April to have hot, dry weather.
