The 325-billion VND plant, on a site of 14.9 ha, will use the latest European micro-technology to treat waste. It is expected to become operational in the second quarter of 2010. In the north of the country, Tuyen Quang province plans to build a waste treatment plant capable of treating 54,000 tonnes of waste a year. The plant will be located at Nhu Khe commune, Yen Son district, on a 25ha site and will use Norwegian technology to turn waste into fertiliser and other by-products. The provincial authorities plan to spend more than 200 billion VND on the plant. VietNamNet/VNA
