Fake messages to be controled by mid-August

The Vietnam Computer Emergency Respond Team (VNCERT) is cooperating with telecom networks to prevent fake messages.
VNCERT recommended mobile network operators guide their customers in how to spot fake messages.
Mobile operators must report to the Ministry of Information and Communications (MoIC) on their measures to control fake messages. MoIC will then issue its requirements on building technical systems to prevent fake messages.
MoIC and mobile operators plan to control fake messages completely by August 15.
Fake messages and calls began appearing several years ago, but they suddenly spiraled out of control in the last month. Fake messages are sent from websites that offer free services or limited fees, such as 50,000 dong for 250 messages.
Many people have become victims of fake messages.
